I am a supervising attorney at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, where I oversee tort litigation throughout the Chicagoland area as well as complex commercial matters on behalf of the State. In this role, I have led and advised on some of the most high-profile cases involving the State of Illinois, including litigation regarding senior public officials. I have also had the privilege of representing physicians, nurses, and first responders—individuals whose service and sacrifice are essential to our communities.

Before entering public service, I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois- Urbana/ Champaign and my law degree from Loyola University Chicago. I spent over 18 years in private practice handling a wide range of civil matters—including family law, plaintiffs’ personal injury, bankruptcy, collections, and insurance defense. My work brought me into contact with people from all backgrounds—families in crisis, small business owners, professionals, and everyday individuals navigating the legal system.  I’ve tried many cases to verdict and handled many more that resolved through litigation before trial, or settled during trial.  I’ve also conducted dozens of arbitrations and evidentiary hearings, giving me deep experience with contested proceedings and courtroom procedure.   Whether helping someone rebuild after financial hardship or defending a community doctor or local business, I gained invaluable insight into how our courts affect real lives.

My wife and I are raising our three young daughters here in Cook County, and I am committed to ensuring our courts are fair, transparent, and accessible for all.
